Birthday in NJ (part 5): the day after

The next day at the hotel, David and Maddie played at "crawl & chase" in the breakfast area. Maddie was also able to experience her first getting back at her brother for all her pummelling she's been through. Payback's a b****!

Birthday in NJ (part 3): Gifts

Not surprisingly, David had a hard time differentiating gifs for him and gifts for his sister.

Birthday in NJ (part 1)

This weekend, we celebrated David and Maddie's birthdays (as well as one of their cousin whose name I can't remember) in New Jersey. Shanon offered him a toy baseball bat and practiced with him a bit (see pictures below). But even with uncle Bob's help, David wasn't able to hit the ball, swinging too early.

Seeing this, his father shook his head and came to a sad conclusion : that Shannon and Bob are the worst coaches in the Universe.

SCOOOOOOORE !!!!!

This weekend at Rob and Dawn's, David practiced basketball with his cousins where he was sometimes able to score. If I wasn't able to take a video then, I was able to get one a bit later.

Davidland vs. Maddieland

International observers are growing more and more concerned about a clash between the young nation of Davidland and the even younger nation (but fastgrowing) of Maddieland.

At stake is supremacy over critical, strategic resources. Maddieland has indeed smashed Davidland's monopoly on transportation (picture #1), technology (picture #2), entertainment (picture #3) and diplomatic ties - or lack of - with the neighboor country of Kittyland (picture #4). Several clashes have happened in the past, and officials related to the matter fear an increase of these clashes.

Experts indeed predict that Davidland will be extremely unhappy when it loses its monopoly over certain categories of food deemed highly strategic, such as popsicles or chocolate. Maddieland is current barred from those food groups by the International "Doctorsaidno" resolution, but this resolution has a time limit which is set to expire soon. "When this happens, Lord help us" said an expert.

The aging nation of Kittyland sees this evolution unfavorably. The hopes of the two young nations too busy to be at war with each other to bother with Kittyland have vanished, as increasing raids from Maddieland on Kittyland's water supplies have proved.

Considering the two leaders of Davidland and Maddieland have a reputation for being immature, the future looks grim.

Firsts for David

David just marked his first visit to the dentist and his first "official" visit to the barber:

And first time sharing the swings with his sister Maddy!
