Scouts pinewood derby

This is our second year participating in the pinewood derby competition.  David made a blue "jet race car" and Maddy made a gray mouse (with curly tail and a wedge of cheese).  Once again, David made it to the finals, but unfortunately lost.  He still had fun making his car and going to the big race.

There's David's car (blue on on the end)

And here they come.....

Spring fun

The kids have been very busy with gymnastics, scouts and Kung Fu this spring.
In January, they had their mini-Olympics show, and did an overnight with scouts at the museum of Science.
In February, the kids learned about making maple syrup with their scouts troops.
In March, they did a Kung Fu demonstration.

Holiday fun

We do many fun activities leading up to Christmas, including seeing the holiday lights at the zoo, decorating both the big family tree and each kid's own little tree.  The holiday season gets kicked off with a Thanksgiving visit from Auntie DoDo and Uncle Joe and a family picture with "you know who".
