First day of school

David is now in fourth grade, and Maddy is in second.

End of school 2016-17

Spring concert:
Maddy is in the top row center in first video.  David is top row to the left in second video.

Gymnastics show:
Maddy did a routine. David did the bars, plus climbed up a rope and touched the ceiling (unfortunately wasn't able to get a good shot of that)

Color guard at Red Sox game

The kid's cub scout troop was invited to present flags before the start at a recent game (having scouts present the flags before a game is very common, it was our troop's "turn" to do it this weekend).  We got to go behind the scenes, and then the kids marched out into the middle of the field and stood while the Star Spangled Banner was sung.  We were lucky to be given free tickets to stay to see the game afterwards (unfortunately the Sox lost to the Chicago Cubs but it was still fun).

Here are some shots from Easter.  We often have our own Easter egg hunt at our house the Sunday before Easter, before visiting family Easter weekend.

Maddy just learned to ride David's old (too-small) bike without training wheels, and was excited to get a new bike just the right size.

We finally bit the bullet and bought a mini-van in January so we would have more space to tote both people *and* stuff.  Kids love that they can have their own row for long car trips.  And we love that we can haul things like a new bike for David easily.
